The story begins in 1774, in Kentucky, birthplace of bourbon while Scottish and Irish settlers were established in Western Pennsylvania producing whiskey in the traditional way as they did in their place of origin, based on rye.
The first decades of the nineteenth century also saw the birth families most famous bourbon distilleries in the world. Ironically in 1846 born Jim Beam, Jack Daniels and George Brouwn, representatives of three empires households producing whiskey in North America for the rest of the world.
In modern time, Franklin Delano Roosevelt to liquor up a sanction imposed in previous years and is also one of the big fans of Bourbon. Franklin was known to prepare their own nightly "Manhattans" and visiting dignitaries the likes of Winston Churchill.
