Laphroaig in manufacturing, malt is dried over a peat fire. The smoke from this peat, found only on Islay, gives Laphroaig its particularly rich flavor. After a double distillation to which it is subjected, matures in oak barrels from Kentucky for ten years, near the sea, staying in some of the iodine taste and Atlantic salt air.
Considered by many experts as one of the best whiskeys in the world, it is ideal to round off a great dinner.
